Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Automin Car Services Private Limited, trading as Petromin Express India ("Petromin Express", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website, fill in our forms, or communicate with us by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
We process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.
1. What we collect
- Details you give us, such as your name, mobile number, email address, city, preferred service centre, vehicle details and anything else you include in a form or message.
- Details collected automatically, such as the pages you visit, how you reached our website (including advertising and campaign information), your device and browser type, and technical information used to keep our website secure.
- Location, only if you allow it on your device, to show nearby service centres.
Please do not share sensitive information such as Aadhaar, bank or card details, health information or passwords through our forms.
2. How we use it
- To verify your contact details, respond to your request, arrange the service or offer you asked about, and keep you updated about it.
- To send you offers and promotions, only if you have separately agreed to receive them. Submitting an enquiry alone is not consent to marketing.
- To understand how our website and advertising perform and improve them.
- To keep our website, systems and customers secure, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and may mean we cannot complete a request that depends on that data.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:
- Petromin Express service centres, to fulfil your request;
- trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions (for example, hosting, messaging, customer management and security providers);
- advertising and analytics partners, to measure and improve our campaigns, limited to what is needed for that purpose;
- a buyer, successor or affiliate, if our business or part of it is reorganised, merged or transferred, subject to this policy;
- government authorities, courts or regulators, where required or permitted by law.
4. Storage and retention
Your data is primarily stored in India. Some service providers may process limited data outside India where permitted by law.
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Enquiry and customer records are generally kept for up to 36 months after your last interaction with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We may keep certain data for longer where required or permitted by law, such as for tax, accounting, regulatory or security purposes, or to resolve disputes and legal claims.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are needed for our website to work and stay secure, and others that help us understand website usage and measure our advertising. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the website may not work as intended.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it;
- withdraw your consent;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to;
- resolve a grievance.
To stop marketing messages, use the opt-out option in the message or contact us.
To make a request, email digitalteam@petromin.in. We will verify your identity before acting. We may decline or limit a request where the law allows, for example where we must keep the data to meet a legal obligation, and we will tell you why.
7. Your responsibilities
Please make sure the information you give us is accurate and is your own. If you share someone else's details, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. Please do not submit false information or frivolous grievances.
8. Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared their details with us, please contact us and we will delete them.
9. Security
We use reasonable security practices to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10. Third-party websites
Our website may link to third-party websites, apps or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
